Stream Watchdog runs from a separate computer and watches your audio streams around the clock. When a stream fails, goes silent, or stops responding, it sends an email alert so you can fix the problem before listeners disconnect.

Important setup note
Run it on a separate internet connection.
For the best protection, Stream Watchdog should run on a different computer and internet connection than your streaming encoder. That way, it checks your stream the same way a listener would. If your main studio internet dies, your watchdog can still bark.

- Install Stream Watchdog on a separate Windows computer.
- Use a different internet connection when possible.
- Enter your stream URLs and email alert settings.
- Optionally add FTP details for a web dashboard.
Why I Built Stream Watchdog
Like many broadcasters, I've had those moments where everything looked fine from the studio, only to discover later that listeners had been hearing silence or couldn't connect at all. I searched for a simple, affordable solution designed specifically for broadcasters and couldn't find exactly what I needed, so I built it myself.
And yes, the dog in the logo is a real dog. He originally belonged to my mom. After she passed away, I adopted him and today he's the official Watchdog of my stations, and the an inspiration behind Stream Watchdog itself.
